Importance of a Correct Golf Stance & Posture

Enhanced Balance

A proper stance promotes better balance, which is crucial for maintaining control during a swing.

Proper stance aids in generating power, allowing for more effective swings and movements in sports.

Feet Position in The Golf Stance

Feet

Arm Pit Width Apart

Position your feet arm pit-width apart provides a solid base for effective movement and support. 

Feet slightly flayed as shown 


Weight Distribution

Your weight should be evenly distributed between your heels and toes. 


Enhancing Balance

Correct foot positioning and weight distribution aids in maintaining balance throughout your swing,   

Hip Position in The Golf Stance

Hips

Stand up Straight

Start with a straight upright posture with club in hand with arms relaxed in front of you.


Hips 

Push your hips backward by pointing your belt buckle towards the ball. This helps you maintain balance and proper body rotation.


Back 

Keep your back straight but relaxed, not hunched. A slight forward lean from the hips is normal.  

Arm Position in The Golf Stance

Arm Position 

Pull your shoulders back slightly to ensure they are not rounded (not pulled in towards your chest) 

Let your arms hang naturally/relaxed down from your shoulders.
