Spine Angle Tilt
Tilt your trail shoulder downwards with your arms hanging down naturally. ·Position the ball in the center of your stance.
Start the Shoulder Turn with the Lead Shoulder
Rotate the shoulders around the spine creating a coil effect by moving your lead shoulder downwards towards the ball.
Think Coiling a Spring
Imagine your upper body as a spring coiling around a central axis to generate power for the swing.

Maintain a Firm Arm Structure
As you turn push your arms away from your body maintaining a firm structure in the lead arm.
Check
The trail elbow on the turn should point downwards rather than pointing to the horizon.

Home Practice Drill with Full Mirror
Place a vertical Tape on a mirror.
Rotate your lead shoulder down keeping your head centered on the vertical tape and maintain a firm arm structure.
If you experience head movement, reduce the amount of rotation of your backswing until you feel balanced and centered on the tape.
Rotation around your spine limiting your head movement as much as possible is the key for maintaining balance and consistent ball striking.
Golf Fundamental 4 shows you how to correctly make an upper body turn on your backswing.
